ABOUT THE PUBLISHER

TC Courtney is an A&R Manager at Universal Music Publishing. He is looking for songs for Universal's artist roster including:  Bailey Zimmerman, Morgan Wallen, Tim McGraw, Thomas Rhett, Nate Smith, Blake Shelton, Tucker Wetmore, Josh Ross, Lauren Alaina, Riley Green, Jelly Roll, Kane Brown, William Beckmann

Originally from Massachusetts, the New England native moved to Nashville in 2013 and immersed himself in the songwriting community. Two months after arriving in Music City, he landed his first job at Brentwood Benson Music, a notable Christian music publisher within Capitol Christian Music Group. In 2015, he accepted a position at Broadcast Music Inc (BMI) and spent four years there developing his understanding of the legal and administrative practices of publishing. In 2020 he returned to music publishing, joining the A&R team at Big Machine Music where he served for four years. During his time at Big Machine, their roster of songwriters accumulated nearly 30 #1 hit songs, three CMA Song of the Year wins, and back-to-back Songwriter of the Year Grammy nominations. In January 2024 he joined Universal Music, with a focus on expanding their business with new talent well as building opportunity for their existing roster of hit songwriters.
